ABSTRACT

The hotel, restaurant and tourism sector is one of the fastest growing sectors of the global economy. It is also among the sectors that have created the most employment, due to its high labor coefficient and the considerable multiplier effect on employment in other related sectors. For this reason, this paper will attempt to carry out an analysis of how this sector is currently counted in 2021 after being one of the hardest hit sectors of the economy after the covid-19 emergency declaration, this study will be carried out specifically in Colombia, where this scenario stopped one of the most important sources of income for the country at the level of the sectors that its economy revolves around tourism. ABSTRACT

Handicrafts as an activity belonging to the orange economy have great potential to grow in national and international markets, however, today where the effects of the economic crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic are being felt, this sector has been seen strongly affected. Taking into account the above, this document investigates the main characteristics of the orange economy and its relationship with handicrafts, to then show from the government and other institutions what has been the support that has been given to the people who are dedicated to these activities, identifying what benefits they can potentially access to reduce the negative impact on their finances and well-being in the face of the economic crisis. © 2021, Associacao Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao.
